valentines day tree

As a child, my grandparents owned a massive Christmas tree that took a lot of effort to set up and take down. One year, they decided to leave it up for most of the year, and my grandma decorated it differently for various holidays. I always looked forward to seeing what new theme she came up with every time I visited them. I believe my love for festive d├ęcor comes from her.

Recently, my family and I started leaving two Christmas trees up even after the holiday season. We keep the trees up for Valentine’s Day to extend the warm, joyful feeling that comes with the holiday season.

For our primary Christmas tree in the living room, we left the red and turquoise mercury glass ornaments and added white glittery ball ornaments and a red polka dot ribbon. As for the other Valentine’s Day tree in the kitchen, we decorated our flocked tree with white, red heart LED lights, and a few conversation heart ornaments.
